Change Makers

Families with children aged 4-12 years old to may be eligible to come to Change Makers – a free of charge 9 week healthy lifestyle programme which aims to help families lead a healthier lifestyle, both emotionally and physically through weekly healthy eating and physical activity sessions.  Each week there is a 45 minute healthy eating session which include topics such as a balanced diet, portion sizes, food labelling, healthy breakfasts and lunches. Sports Coaches also deliver a 45 minute physical activity session; example activities include tennis, dodge ball and kwik cricket.
Rugby Borough Council co-ordinate the service this service for the whole of Warwickshire. The programme has been successfully delivered across Rugby Borough (Change Makers); and in Nuneaton and Bedworth and North Warwickshire Boroughs (formally known as Family Food and Fitness).

Change Makers is now available across the whole of Warwickshire under the new healthy lifestyles, weight management and physical activity service
‘Fitter Futures Warwickshire’.

Parents and guardians can book onto the programme by contacting the Change Maker team directly or click here to complete an on-line form.

Schools can also host a 9 week Change Maker programme and/or taster sessions free of charge.  Please make contact if your school would like any flyers or posters to advertise the service in your school or area. The Change Maker team are available within each of the District and Borough Councils across Warwickshire.
